The process they use for electrolysis uses salt NaCl as the electrolyte during electrolysis. The output is Chlorine water or essentially clorox. It is interesting that chlorox is prroduced by the electrolysis of brine whch is almost an identical process shown in the movie. I believe the reaction below explains
how chlorox can be produced by the electrolysis of salt water.


Cl2(aq) + 2 NaOH(aq) = NaCl(aq) + NaOCl(aq) + H2O()
